The Royal Life Saving Society - National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Training Courses. British Swimming - is the National Governing Body for Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Open Water in Great Britain. It is responsible internationally for the high performance representation of the sport. SOMERSET AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION - 05.5.4.2 AR reported that there would be an Assistant Synchro Teachers Course at Taunton Guide HQ on 25.6.05 and another at Quantock Lodge on 2/3.7.05. Nether Stowey Church of England Primary School - Swimming lessons occur in the autumn term at the Quantock Lodge. Western Counties ASA - An action packed weekend was recently held at Quantock Lodge Leisure Complex in Over Stowey over 1-3 July 2005.
Quantock Lodge - Events, Receptions and Residential Groups: Do it 4 Real (YHA Action Adventure) - Multi-activity and Survival Skills, this centre has great facilities on site and access to moors and woodlands that are waiting to be explored. Do it 4 Real is a series of action packed summer residential camps for 11-17 year olds. CBIT - (Child Brain Injury Trust) - In June of 2002, CBIT took a group of 9 young people aged between 8-12 to Quantock Lodge in Somerset. The activities ranged from assault courses, abseiling, climbing, swimming and football. The Wessex Actors Company - The Wessex Actors Company - a professional touring theatre company serving 5 south-west counties with a unique regional focus. Jenny Coverack - Actress Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. St. John Ambulance - Taunton Ambulance Cadets Training, the NCO course which lasts for 3 days at either Quantock Lodge or Hill House, both near Bridgwater Somerset. There cadets learn how to give commands, take cadets for drill, lead cadet groups and to develop personal leadership skills. Snowsport England - 4th July 2005 - This strand of the Coach Award Scheme comprises of the Ski Course Organiser and the Alpine Ski Course Leader Award, aimed at shaping the leaders own professional judgements concerning the responsible supervision and leadership of young people on marked pistes within recognised skiing resorts. Quantock School Reunions - Venue for Quantock School Reunions in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The Kings School Gloucester - 24th June - 27th June 2005 ... There is something connected with an end of term feeling about the visit to Quantock Lodge. Exams are over, teachers are normal human beings and school uniforms are taboo. The Quantocks and Reciprocal Links: Halsway Manor - It is a National Centre for Traditional Music, Dance and Song, the only residential folk centre in the UK, and caters for groups throughout the year. It is situated in south-west England on the slopes of the Quantock Hills - officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - between Minehead & Taunton. The Hood Arms - Kilve, Nr Bridwater; Supervised Walking on the Quantocks from Quantock Lodge on a Tuesday morning at 11.15am, an ever increasing band have been stretching their legs for just over an hour within the Forestry footpath network. This is part of the 'Walking for Health' initiative and is supported by the British Heart Foundation. |
